Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School — Bird Puzzle Guide
Complete Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School's Nugget task with animal tiles, heat-lamp codes, jazz and the Clue Jay worm-box solution explained by part.
Quick answer
The bird task is Coop de Grâce in the Biology Lab. Give Nugget heat, a worm and jazz: solve the animal-tile cabinet for the record, enter water 9631, desert 9642 and plains 9753 at the power outlets, then solve the earliest-bird worm box using the Clue Jay's body-part colors. Feed the worm and speak to the professor.

Identify Nugget's three needs
Coop de Grâce is the Biology Lab task involving Nugget the chicken. Speak to Prof. Bonilla and use the objectives as your checklist: turn on the heat lamp, feed Nugget a worm and play smooth jazz. The checklist is visible in the recording at 30:03, and the launch recording around 1:55:42 describes the same needs.
The route below groups the work into music, heat and food. This is a practical ordering of the documented interactions, not a claim that every objective must be completed in that order.
Unlock and play the record
Collect the animal tiles around the lab. In GameSpew's documented layout, the tortoise is below the blackboard, the cheetah and octopus are on desks, the blue whale is on the windowsill, and the howler monkey is on the rear cabinet. These exact positions are the written guide's example.
Match the tiles to the record cabinet's labels:
| Cabinet label | Animal tile |
|---|---|
| Fastest | Cheetah |
| Smartest | Octopus |
| Loudest | Howler monkey |
| Oldest | Tortoise or turtle |
| Largest | Blue whale |
These are the puzzle's cabinet assignments, not a general animal-reference table. GameSpew documents the full set, while the launch recording at 1:57:33–1:58:34 independently works through the matches and obtains the record.
Collect the record and put it on the record player on the front desk. Opening the cabinet is only the preceding step; playing the record satisfies the music task. The written solution and recording around 1:58:32 document that interaction.
Restore power to the heat lamp
Inspect the food-chain poster and arrange its pieces. Read the numbers beside the animals' positions to obtain the outlet codes. Match each code to the corresponding environment:
| Food-chain environment | Outlet code |
|---|---|
| Water | 9631 |
| Desert | 9642 |
| Plains | 9753 |
Enter these at the power outlets leading toward Nugget's cage. GameSpew supplies the environment-to-code mapping. The launch recording at 1:59:08–1:59:49 works through the same numbers and reports the heat coming on.
Solve the earliest-bird worm box
Read the worm-box clue about the earliest bird and the nearby Humble Cricket poster. Listen to the bird recordings for the cricket background described in the written walkthrough; its selected bird is the Clue Jay. The second recording at 30:03 visibly pairs the earliest-bird clue with that poster.
Match the selected bird's separate body parts to the lock labels. The successful Clue Jay example is:
| Bird part | Color |
|---|---|
| Beak | Orange |
| Body | Blue |
| Wing | White |
| Tail | White |
This is a part-to-color table, not a left-to-right dial sequence. Apply each color to its matching pictured or labeled part. The launch recording at 2:03:49–2:04:24 states these assignments and reaches success dialogue, corroborating GameSpew's Clue Jay identification.
Feed Nugget and finish the task
Take the worm from the opened box and feed it to the chicken. With heat and music also handled, speak to the professor again. The written route gives that completion step, and the launch recording around 2:04:18–2:04:43 confirms Nugget is producing eggs before the dialogue moves toward chemistry.

Bird puzzle questions
Does opening the worm box complete every objective?
No: Nugget's checklist includes heat, food and jazz. The bird lock gives access to the worm, so also complete the record-player and power-outlet interactions. The objectives are visible in the recorded task text.
Should I choose one overall color for the bird?
Use the colors of its separate parts. The successful example has an orange beak, blue body, white wing and white tail. A single whole-bird color loses the distinctions used by the lock. Recorded color solution.
What if I have the record but still need music?
Put the record on the record player. Collecting it and playing it are separate interactions in the documented solution.
Scope
Tile locations and Clue Jay colors are documented examples from written and recorded runs. Match the actual environment and body-part labels; no unlabeled dial order or alternative audio-selection rule is assumed.
